2017 Dodge Charger Has Something Nasty Hiding Under the Hood and No, It's Not the Engine

If you ask me, Harley Quinn is one of the least understood characters in the entire DC Comics universe. Often seen as Joker's main henchwoman, the 30-something-year-old wrongdoer was given a more humane face at the hands of Margot Robbie in "Birds of Prey," but that still doesn't seem to do the character justice.
Harley Quinn is such an odd character that people don't mind her all that much. There is not nearly enough merch going around dedicated to the criminal, not that many songs being sung about her and, naturally, not much of a fan pool. But those who are into Harley Quinn are, no offense, guys, simply bananas.

What else would you call someone who takes a perfectly fine 2017 Dodge Charger and turns it into a Harley Quinn shrine on wheels? Because that's what someone did, and here is the result.

The car you're looking at seems to have not been modified mechanically in any major way. That means the engine bay still rocks the 3.6-liter engine it had when it rolled off the assembly lines – a unit that, in stock form, was good for 292 horsepower. The stock transmission, an eight-speed automatic, is still there.

But that beast of a heart lies in a body that, even if unmodified in a significant way as far as design lines are concerned, is a far cry in terms of bling from what Dodge normally offers.

The car has been put together by an unknown crew with Harley Quinn as the guiding light. The face of the DC Comics character pops into view as soon as you open the hood and look at the inner side of the sheet of metal.

Then, the metal splitter kit comes with a Harley Quinn cut-out inside fin, and the exterior paint, House of Kolor Red Flake mixed with black and burgundy, is meant to remind one of Quinn in a heartbeat – especially because of the painting on the roof. At night so do the Glow Optics LEDs that make the Charger light up like a Christmas tree, or at least like a car customized in an older version of Need for Speed.

The Charger is propped on 20-inch Rotiform wheels, behind which a custom suspension system rocking Air Lift Performance hardware has been installed.

The interior is as crazy as Harley Quinn herself, with a fiber optic headliner making a spectacle, custom seats replacing the original ones, and metal floor mats topping off this insanity.

The 2017 Dodge Charger is not something you can easily pass by down the street and not turn your head, but that's not where we found it. We stumbled upon it on Mecum, as the auction house has it listed for sale during its event in Glendale, Arizona, at the beginning of next month.

There is no mention of how much the Charger is expected to fetch, but provided true Harley Quinn fans are in the house when the time comes, the sky is probably the limit.
