As we expected, the X-1 version of the Victory Magnum retained the tech specs in their standard figures while introducing some show-off DNA in the shape of an upgraded audio system, evil sporty paintjob and new rims. If these features are worth your money, you be the judge. Frankly, $2,500 (US price) on extra speakers, paint and a new set of rims did not convince us, but we’re positive there will be a lot of guys who feel like this was the last thing missing from their bikes.
The main feature of the Magnum X-1 is represented by the audio system. The new model arrives with no less than 10 drivers, powered by a 200W onboard amplifier. If this is a thing which really counts in your book, you should know that the new sound system is 4 times louder than that on the Cross Country and twice as loud as the standard version of the Magnum.

A ghetto blaster bike?

To be honest, seeing Victory going this way was a bit disappointing, as this hardly has anything to do with motorcycling. Adding powerful amplifiers on a bike and making it loud as hell is a thing which can be done cheaper and better in a specialized shop, seriously. If turning a bike into a two-wheeled ghetto blaster is the new trend in the industry, then the Magnum X-1 will definitely be one of the trend-setters... but that’s about it.

As for the rest, the new Magnum iteration is also a show bike. The pin striping work in electric red and Platinum Fade paint definitely looks appealing, especially to those who enjoy modern cruisers, while the black billet 21” front rim and its contrast cut accents will also be an eye-catcher.

On the tech side, the Magnum relies on the same Freedom 106 v-twin engine, a 6-speed transmission with a belt final drive, with nothing new added to the game. Again, if you believe the X-1 is worth $24,499 (equivalent of €22,555), be our guests.
