We’ve spent more than one lunch break talking about what would happen if the police decided to chase Santa Claus this season. As it turns out, we weren’t the only ones enjoying odd dreams, as this is exactly what goes on if Ford’s latest effort to promote the 2016 Focus RS is to be taken into consideration.
We are dealing with a short clip called Snowkhana 4, and it seems the Blue Oval people had more than one funky dream. Aside from the Santa action mentioned in the intro, the clip also makes tons of Star Wars references and pays a nod to multiple retro Fords, be they American or European.

More importantly, this release answers a question that came up a few days ago, when our spy photographers spotted a Focus RS prototype wearing “Polis” decals. We don’t expect the authorities to have minded this, since the local police cars are branded with a sea of light-reflecting materials.

We can now see this car pursuing Santa, in another Focus RS, with everything obviously being focused around the manic hatch’s drifting abilities.

The prototype mentioned above was spied in the proximity of the Continental testing facility in Arvidsjaur, Sweden, which is where this footage was captured.

We can see a potential script behind this whole story, as we expect everything to have started after a few Ford engineers found it amusing to place the “Polis” stickers on the black prototype.

Since they had a reason to chase Santa and the pursuit scene was covered, the rest of the production came naturally. After all, we are talking about stop motion animation here, so the possibilities were endless.

Still, we salute Ford’s initiative of trolling Volvo Trucks’ viral Van Damme Epic Splits commercial. And we can say the same about the LEGO figures. Such goodies are always welcome, regardless of the season or purpose.

P.S.: We have a hunch on the action taking place at 0:49 having the potential to start a debate about the AWD system of the Focus RS.
