Unlike in the case of  human beings, making a car wider is usually a good thing. It doesn't make it look fatter, but more planted and often more athletic, especially when this treatment is doubled with a lowering of the suspension.
The Belgian tuners famous for modifying mainly Mercedes-Benz models have switched their attention over to an unsuspecting 2015 Porsche Cayenne. The sporty SUV was the unlucky beneficiary of the company's XR wide body kit and you can see the results for yourself in the image gallery and in the video below.

We'd like to make one thing clear: just because we felt like throwing up when we first saw the Expression Motorsport modified Cayenne, it doesn't mean there's something wrong with you if you like it. You might need an eye exam, but other than that, you're OK.

We're fine with aggressive cars, and if any SUV is worthy of such a look, then it's got to be the Porsche Cayenne as it offers the performance to back up the hooligan attitude promised by such an exterior design.

But aggressive doesn't have to mean a tacky, tasteless concoction of body parts thrown over a once beautiful body. Just look at that bonnet: if that doesn't remind you of a proboscis monkey, then I don't know what will.

It doesn't get any better if you look elsewhere. The front bumper with the huge trapezoidal central grille gives the Cayenne the demeanor of a grumpy old man missing his teeth, while the side skirts look as though they were bought from the supermarket on a discount.

You get the feeling they didn't even try to make the flared wheel arches look as though they were ever part of the body, appearing like something you can just clip-on without any further modifications.

The wheels are 23" in size and you wouldn't have expected anything less from such a classy makeover, now, would you?

The rear is just as bad, with a new air diffuser that looks as though is has nothing to do with aerodynamics and two large exhaust pipes popping out of the bumper through a pair of cut-outs with a completely different shape.

Sorry if we ruined your Sunday, but we couldn't keep this just for ourselves. Also, we'd like to know what you think. Have we got a problem and we're too hard on Expression Motorsport's efforts, or is it really that bad?
