At first, Atelier Valdeig planned this project for a replica automaker but as it was canceled. They continued working on the bodykit and ended up with this classy tuned Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Roadster (W198).
The body-kit features entirely recreated side panels, with the possibility to fit bigger wheels for the roadster thanks to the new wider fenders. This one is riding on 16-inch Revolution rims with white wall tires, but other rims could be fitted. Also, to make the car sleeker, the original bulges over the wheel arches were removed.
There are two versions of headlamps available, the original upright headlamps or the round ones from the Gullwing model. Also you can get different taillights and side exhaust pipes.
Engine modifications were not specified, but as a reminder, the stock 300SL Roadster had a 3-liter inline six-cylinder engine delivering 215 PS (212 hp) and 274 Nm of torque. The 300SL's engine was the first one to inject fuel directly into the cylinders, and this allowed the car to reach a top speed of 260 km/h (161 mph), making it the fastest production car of its time.
