If our hunch is correct, the station wagon version of the new Mercedes-Benz C-Class is about two weeks away from its official launch, with the German choosing to unveil the model outside of a major auto show, just like they did with the latest S-Class and the V-Class.
Whether the model is launched in this May or not remains to be seen, but it is known that two trailers loaded with C-Class T-Modell S205 with light camouflage were recently spotted by one of our collaborator spy photographers.
Just like the aforementioned pre-production prototypes, the two station wagons in the following spy photos were spotted while wearing only the smallest camouflage possible.
As you can see, only the rear side windows, the emblems on the rear hatch and the taillights have been hidden using tape, but thankfully we already have an idea of how the actual design of the car will look like, thanks to a couple of photos depicting a completely naked prototype.
The interesting bit in one of the spy photos bellow is that one of the cars is parked near a current generation of the model, and we can finally take a glimpse at the real differences between the two.
According to recent reports, the station wagon version of the new C-Class will have a slightly larger luggage compartment, while the rear suspension will apparently have a self-leveling feature as standard on all model variants.
Just like on the sedan version, the smallest engine will consist of a Renault-sourced 1.6-liter turbodiesel with 130 hp and 320 Nm (236 lb ft) of torque, while the largest will obviously be the new four-liter twin-turbocharged V8 in the C 63 AMG, with at least 476 hp and 650 Nm (479 lb ft) of torque.
