Currently, there is no official date set for Mercedes-Benz to finally unveil the long-awaited station wagon variant of the new C-Class W205, but we are expecting the model to get into the spotlight in just a few weeks – sometime after the Beijing and New York Auto Show, where it wouldn't make any sense to be launched.
As you can see in the adjacent spy photos, Mercedes-Benz has decided to remove some of the heavy camouflage that recent prototypes were adorned with, but the part that matters is still covered from plain view.

Thankfully, we already know how the rear of the C-Class Wagon (T-Modell or Estate, depending on market) S205 will look thanks to a few images from last Fall, when a non-camouflaged model was spotted somewhere in Germany.

The following photos were shot in Spain though, and they depict what appear to be a diesel model, as the tailpipe exits are pointing downwards and are hidden by fake ones in the rear bumper. If we were to guess, this could be a C 220 BlueTec version, which will most definitely be the most popular engine choice in Europe.

Powered by a 2.1-liter turbocharged four-cylinder diesel, the C 220 BlueTec develops 170 hp and a healthy 400 Nm (295 lb ft) of torque, all while having a medium fuel consumption of around four liters per 100 km (59 mpg).

At launch, the C-Class Wagon will be available with just five engines, just like its sedan brother, but over 10 powerplants will become available in the upcoming year - including a C 63 AMG version - so there will be a C-Class for everyone.
