2015 Kia Rio 5-Door is $10 Cheaper Than the 2014 Model Year

Not joking! As its always the case with Kia, the updated Rio 5-door is that $10 cheaper than the 2014 model year, but packs the same outstanding features for the money. The most basic variant of the little South Korean subcompact costs $13,990 and comes with a 138 hp and 123 lb-ft (166 Nm) 1.6-liter engine coupled to a six-speed stick shift and boasts with 27 mpg city, 37 mpg highway and 31 mpg combined.
The entry-level LX variant can be updated with a six-speed automatic transmission. In the case of the posher EX and SX trim levels, you get the previously mentioned auto as standard. This gearbox has Kia's Active ECO system, which optimizes fuel efficiency when turned on. All models are equipped with a lot of standard goodies, including an AM/FM audi system with CD and MP3 playback and Sirius XM satelitte radio, an auxiliary input, USB slot, as well as lots of buttons on the steering wheel.

If you went for the 2015 Kia Rio 5-door LX automatic, you can enhance your car with a Power pack that adds remote keyless entry and power windows with auto up/down only for the driver's window. For the EX trim, the available Convenience Package includes 15-inch alloy wheels, the UVO voice-activated infotainment system, Rear Camera Display, automatic headlamps, leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, power-folding side mirrors with turn signal indicators, front fog lights, dual illuminated visor vanity mirrors, and dual map lights. If the buyer opts for the Convenience Package, he or she can further select the ECO Package that boatss with Idle, Stop and Go tech which improves city economy by 1 mpg.

As for the range-topping 2015 Kia Rio 5-door SX, this model is fitted with sport-tuned suspension, front ventilated disc brakes, 17-inch alloy wheels and paddle shifters for a sportier look and feel. Cruise control and a tilt and telescopic steering column are also standard, but you can do better with the Premium pack that offers satelitte navigation with SiriusXM Traffic, push-button start with Smart Key, leather seat trim, heated front seats and a power tilt/slide sunroof for that open, airy feel.
