Triumph announces a special edition for their acclaimed and winning Daytona 675 supersport machine to celebrate the historic Daytona 200 victory achieved by Riders Discount Racing’s Danny Eslick. Funny thing to see a Daytona win at Daytona maybe, but a victory is nevertheless a victory, and when it comes to special edition sport bikes, we just can’t get enough of them.
Unlike Suzuki’s special edition motorcycles, which rely more on aesthetic upgrades and only use Yoshimura exhausts as performance enhancements, it looks like Triumph is actually offering a real race-grade bike, loaded with many of the bells and whistles of Danny’s real “office” bike.

The Eslick Daytona 675R is equipped with a DID 520 ERV3 golden chain and matching sprockets, a Triumph genuine lower chain guard, red anodized adjustment blocks, paddock stand bobbins, engine and seat cowl cover kits, Renthal grips, Attack Performance rearsets, billet oil filter cap and dipstick, both drilled for safety wiring for track use. Oobviously, it also comes with a custom paint job, and thanks to a special approval from AMA, the livery contains the official AMA Pro Road Racing sponsor decals and Riders Discount Racing actual competition logo.

Riders can also order the Riders Discount Performance Package comprising a DynoJet Power Commander V and a custom racing-grade mapping, aftermarket intake and exhaust systems, and a weight reducing job.

Only 47 such 2014 Triumph Daytona 675R Danny Eslick Edition will be made available and they will only be sold in the North American markets. The US and Canada, that is, so no treats for European riders, unfortunately. The 47-unit run commemorates the 47 years which have gone by between the 1967 and the 2014 Daytona 200 Triumph victories.

No price was mentioned for the 2014 Triumph Daytona 675R Danny Eslick Edition, but you could question your nearest Triumph dealer on availability and more.
