The first production units of the 2014 Honda Civic Tourer have rolled off the assembly line in the United Kingdom, the Japanese automaker announced today.
“More than any other product, the Civic Tourer highlights the ambition, energy, skill and tenacity of our Associates. Developed, designed, tested and produced here in Europe, the Civic Tourer demonstrates what can be achieved by our European teams,” said Manabu Nishimae, Honda’s European president and COO, during a ceremony at the plant.
The 2014 Civic Tourer will arrive in UK dealerships in early 2014 with a choice of two engines - a 1.8-liter i-VTEC petrol unit and an all-new 1.6-liter i-DTEC diesel mill. The estate carries a starting price tag of £20,265 OTR.
The new diesel delivers 120 horsepower and 300 Nm of torque and the manufacturer claims it will return 74.33 mpg on the combined cycle, a range of 817 miles on a full tank and will emit only 99g/km of CO2.
