It might seem trivial to show you guys a Ford Fiesta supermini sold in Japan, but it’s really not. You see, people often don’t understand why a car like this can end op costing the equivalent of $25,000 or more in Japan, but it’s these little nuances that make the car world so cool.
Look closely at the car. It looks like just about any other $16,000 car sitting on Your dealer’s lot, right? No, it’s not, because the Japanese model is fully equipped as standard. The engine is not a simple 1.6-liter, it’s the 1-liter EcoBoost with 00 PS and 170 Nm output, mated to the 6-speed PowerShift dual-clutch gearbox, similar to VW’s DSG.

Look carefully at the body of the car and you will notice there’s a very expensive shade of paint, large alloy wheels and a body kit, which looks like the Ztec models sold in Europe. The Fiesta is also equipped with active city braking, four electric one-touch windows, electric mirrors, piano black trim and leather steering wheel.

All this has been added to the car because the Fiesta has to be sportier and better equipped in order to justify costing more than small local cars.
