Nissan March Bolero: the Micra With a Bentley Grille!

Most automotive aficionados know the current Nissan Micra isn't made in Europe any more, as Nissan believes China or India can make the car cheaper. As a result, it's not a particularly desirable car. But here's something you probably didn't know about the Nissan Micra.

In Japan, it's so popular that they even sell official "customized" versions, like this March Bolero, the very definition of a girl's blouse in terms of car design.

Outwardly differentiated by a new front grille, the March Bolero looks like it wants to be a little Bentley for young women. It's also got a lot of chrome trim, both inside and out: wheels, bumpers, door handles and shift knob. The body kit comes from tuner Autech and Nissan throws in things like automatic climate control, a navigation system and interior trim. If you really want a strange option, they will even throw in a 12-volt LED micro flashlight.

The only engine available for the March Bolero is the 1.2i 12v 82 hp in combination with the CVT automatic transmission. But, the front-wheel drive or 4WD. Prices start at 1,458,450 yen (€ 11,306) for 2WD Bolero and 1,631,700 yen (€ 12,649) for the 4WD.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
