The brand new Chevolet Impala is far from reaching the heights achieved by GM with the first-generation full-size sedan, but we think it’s one of the most complete vehicles recently introduced on the US market.
And we’re not alone in this. The 2014 Impala tops Consumer Reports’ sedan rankings and was also included on the 2014 North American Car of the Year long list. And if that’s not enough, Consumer Reports just said the Impala is the most improved redesigned vehicle, being placed above the Hyundai Accent, Audi A6, Land Rover LR4, and the Mazda6.
“Jumping up from a score of 63 in our tests to an impressive 95, the Impala went from being dated and inferior rental car option to contemporary, roomy, comfortable, and enjoyable to drive. In other words, one of the very best cars on the road today,” Consumer Reports described the Impala in their “10 Most Improved Car Redesigns” top.
Revealed at the 2012 New York Auto Show, the new Chevrolet Impala is available from $27,535 with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, while the V6 range start at $30,760.
