Toyota’s budget brand has something fun on offer right now, as the hot new sports coupe developed with Subaru has hit dealers’ lots across the US, priced from $24,200.
The car is supposed to offer the sort of honest driving experience that has been missing for so long from the market. If you’re looking for lots of power, your best bet is still a Camaro or a Mustang, because this car only has 200 hp from its 2.0-liter boxer engine. However, what it does have is lightness and a direct chassis with neutral balance. It will also do an estimated 34 mpg highway and comes standard with a Torsen limited-slip differential.

“The incredibly positive buzz surrounding the FR-S has generated an impressive list of hand-raisers and pre-sold orders,” said Scion vice president Jack Hollis. “Scion is thrilled that the FR-S is now available throughout its strong network of about 1,000 dealers. We can’t wait for performance driving enthusiasts to get into the FR-S because we know that they are going to love it!”

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
