The Toyobaru project is finally receiving a version that can take on the big boys in the sports car segment, with Gazoo Racing releasing a concept racing incarnation of the Toyota GT 86 that is packed with tech upgrades.
Under the hood, the Sport FR Concept, to use the vehicle’s actual name, uses a 2.0-liter unit that has received both a turbocharger and a supercharger and now delivers a (probably no-lag) 320 hp and 310 lb-ft (420 Nm) of torque.
The vehicle has also been gifted with brakes and suspension upgrades, as well as with new wheels and an aerodynamic package, while the interior comes with bucket seats, a rollcage and additional gauges, but the details are limited at this point - we’ll be back with more info on this little monster as soon as we get our hand on it.
