Winner of the last two rounds at Mugello, Yamaha factory rider and reigning world champion Jorge Lorenzo says "we have to be calm" when it comes to the Gran Premio d' Italia TIM.
The 5th MotoGP round will take place this weekend at the very fast circuit Mugello in Tuscany and Lorenzo seems very determined to make a comeback after the disappointing last race in France at Le Mans, where the lack od rear tire grip and possibly a setup error have pushed him to position 7.

He adds that the configuration of the Mugello track is a suitable one for the Yamaha bikes, with long and very fast turns, but admits the very long straight line is a sensitive issue for Team Blue.

He elegantly avoids admitting that Hondas are noticeably faster in straight lines and says that "maybe our rivals are stronger than us", we just know that part of the victory will be decided in the huge, 1.141 meters-long (0.709 miles) straight.

And if it looks like this straight line is not as important, please consider it represents a quarter of the whole Mugello lap (5,245 m or 3.259 miles)... Now do you see why Yamaha should be worried at Mugello?

Lorenzo is now in the third position in the provisional rankings, 17 points behind leader Dani Pedrosa, and 11 points behind the other Repsol Honda rider, Marc Marquez.
