Power Electronics Aspar rider Randy de Puniet is in Japan at Motegi, testing the motorcycle Suzuki plans to bring to MotoGP in 2014, should the deal with Dorna work out well.
For two days, de Puniet got the chance to sample the new machine and talk to the engineers. According to motogp.com, the Frenchman did around 100 laps and manager Eric Mahe declared the test was a positive one and technicians were all surprised with Randy's ability to provide feedback.
Randy de Puniet, 32, will also be testing the Suzuki prototype at the official post-race test in Barcelona, Spain, as part of Hamamatsu's test calendar for the year. While the Motegi test was a private one and no official timing surfaced, we're all waiting to see the Suzuki liter-class prototype pitted against the rest of the 2013 machines.
Still, nothing but rumors as of who will ride for Suzuki in 2013...
