Toyota has launched a brand new Camry sedan in a number of global markets. At the same time, the Lexus luxury brand has a new look, dominated by the hourglass grille they debuted with the GS, but which is rapidly being introduced to all other models. Combine the grille and the new Camry platform and you get the makings of the ES sedan.
This is the first time we’ve seen this car, and it was photographed in a Chinese port by Xcar.com.cn in the base ES 250 form. While it might not be as sculpted and muscular as the new GS sitting right beside it, the ES still looks like a very attractive newcomer to the luxury market.
Inside too, the surfaces are pleasant but not as intricate. And while we can spot standard starter button and a full leather interior with a splash of wood, there’s nothing to tell us this a brand new, 2013 model year car.
