Earlier today, we wrote about how the killing of the Maybach brand and how this will allow the Mercedes S-Class to move upmarket, with latter carmaker set to release two super-luxury Pullman version of the sedan. However, we can't help but be annoyed everytime we mention the fact that Mercedes butchered the prestigious brand.
We wrote an editorial on the subject when the announcement was made and now we're back to give you a special Maybach video. We know that the brand is an elegant one, but we just couldn't help show you this tuned example that's being hooned in a way that was never intended by the factory.
The footage was captured during last year's Gold Rush Rally and You are looking at a Renntech Maybach. This was taken to a drag strip, where it performed a delicious burnout beofre drag racing a Mansory Porsche Panamera Turbo. The Maybach lost, but this doesn't make the clip less entertaining.
