2013 Honda CR-Z Hits Australian Market

Honda has announced the arrival of the 2013 CR-Z model in the Australian dealerships. The two-door hybrid comes at a higher price of AU$38,490 now, either you choose the six-speed manual or automatic gearbox model.
In the outgoing AU$34,990 CR-Z Sport model, the CVT automatic transmission was a AU$2,300 option, the base model having a manual one instead.

The new Honda CR-Z comes with larger 17-inch alloy wheels, revised front and rear bumpers, new grille, rear LED taillights and a diffuser. It also benefits from a new lithium-ion batteries that can better harness energy from the regenerative braking system.

Powering the two-door is a combination of a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine and an electric motor that produce a combined 136 hp (100 kW) and 190 Nm (140 lb-ft) of toque at 6,600 rpm respectively 1,000-3,000 rpm. Also, the car features a new Plus Sport (S+) boost system, that gives more electric traction too the front wheels when the batteries are charged over 50 percent.
