Ford is really sticking to the idea of offering the the same cars all over the world. The latest is the Transit Connect Wagon, minivan which will be available in the fall of 2013 in two wheelbases and seating configurations.
Powering the new Transit Connect will be either a base 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine or the 1.6-liter EcoBoost turbo, which Ford believes will get over 30 mph (7.8 lt/100km) on the highway. Both engines will be available with the same six-speed automatic transmission option.
Right, now on to the practical side. The Transit Connect Wagon comes with two rear sliding doors for easy access in the back. It can offer seating for up to seven people in a 2+3+2 configuration. The rear can be a single liftgate or two side-hinged cargo doors and the boot has 1,200-pound payload (544 kg) capacity.
