We showed you a video of the new Kia flagship completely naked yesterday, and reaction was largely good. Today, the South Korean manufacturer has come forth with the first official pictures of the K9 sedan, covering the side profile, front and rear three quarter views. We have to say that while the wheels are a bit small and the grille would have looked better as a floating design, the rest of it looks pretty darn impressive.
The new luxury sedan comes with an all-LED front end, from the running lights to the actual headlights themselves. We can easily spot a parking camera between the bars of the grille. The bonnet as a couple of bulges on it for that muscular look, while a strong character lines goes down the side from those chrome vents to the back door handles.

"K9 is our first rear-wheel drive large sedan, created without compromise in its design, driving performance and new technologies. K9 sets a whole new level of standards and values in the large sedan segment, and its design will be another Kia demonstration of our brand's power to surprise the world," says Soon-Nam Lee, Director of the Overseas Marketing Group.

The K9 will surely be introduced to the US and European markets as the Opirus, and we would have liked to see the interior. But wait, we actually can show you the luxury interior, thanks to some pictures from Korean Car Blog. You’ve got everything that a Jaguar XF or Mercedes E-Class owner would want. But some of the buttons, like the ones on the dash look unfathomable. The dash is simple and elegant, dominated by large buttons and a a big navi display at the very top, flanked by the air vents.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
