A wonderful Cadillac DeVille is about to go under the gavel, and just like most second-gen copies (and not only) that pop up for grabs on the second-hand market, we absolutely love it.
Mind you, it is no work in progress, nor one that would keep you up at night to scratch your head, thinking where you could find those missing parts, as it underwent a full restoration process. The ad doesn't speak about this part, but it's clear that it couldn't have looked brand new otherwise, considering that it is a 1964 car.

The listing isn't that revealing, but as they say, a picture is worth a thousand words, so get ready to stare at it for a long time – if you haven't already, and if you're a fan of this model, which you likely are, or you wouldn't be reading these lines.

The exterior sports a shiny black paint finish with ceramic coating, joined by the typical chrome accents at the front, sides, and rear, and the vehicle rides on a set of chromed wheels specific to elegant old-timers. The black roof covers the tastefully reupholstered interior, which is all-white. This 1964 Cadillac DeVille Convertible also comes with a touch of modernity in the shape of an audio system and a few other bits and bobs.

Are you wondering why it sits so low to the ground? Well, courtesy of an adjustable air suspension, of course. It also has power steering, disc brakes on all four corners, and a V8 powertrain. All versions of the second-gen DeVille came with an eight-cylinder unit under the hood, and this one features the larger mill, a 429 ci. The 7.0L was originally rated at 340 horsepower, though it is unknown how much it produces on the pictured car. One thing is certain: it is paired with a four-speed automatic transmission.

Another thing that would interest a potential buyer is the mileage, and it stands at 28,000 miles (¬45,000 km). Details surrounding the ownership are unknown, and you have a few months to decide whether it is worthy of your hard-earned money. This '64 DeVille will hit the auction block at Mecum's 2024 Glendale event on March 5-9 at the State Farm Stadium, and we reckon it will find itself a new owner within minutes. After all, who can resist such a great-looking American classic?

Depending on the overall condition of each example, the 1964 Cadillac DeVille Convertible usually sells for around $30,000 and a bit less than that. However, it is not unheard of for certain copies to fetch upwards of $70,000 either, and we think this black-on-white machine will get very close to the six-digit territory. What would your cap on it be?
