1,200 HP Rolls-Royce Wraith Twin-Turbo - Is Alpha Performance Building It?

Whether you fancy this kind of aftermarket extremes or not, you have to admit the Rolls-Royce Wraith in the rendering we have here is not the kind you can overlook.
And when the chances of such a project taking place in the real world are there, the topic becomes even more worthy of our attention, especially since a 1,200 hp output is rumored.

However, before we dig deeper into this high-octane tale, we have to repeat the idea that we're dealing with a digitally manipulated image, not a build photo, one that comes from "photographer and designer" Sales.Des.

We've reached out to Alpha Performance, whose name is pixel-applied here, to see if the project is happening - if anybody would ask us to place a bet while waiting for the Illinois-based tuner's answer, we'd bet on "no". And one of the reasons would be Goodwood opposing such moves.

However, it shouldn't take too long until a car like this will actually come to life. The kind of customer we expect for it? A Middle East aficionado who wants to use his Instagram to show the world something different.

The tech basis for the project is there, since the BMW-supplied N74 twin-turbo V12 could easily be massaged to deliver the output mentioned above. And the ZF 8-speed auto is ready to take the amount of torque delivered by such a boosted 6.5-liter unit, obviously after it gets its fair share of aftermarket attention.

And the determination to build such a car is also present. Sure, 1,200 hp is no Rolls-Royce jet engine (think 70,000 hp), but delivering a four-digit output with a Spirit of Ecstasy bolted to it would make for a monstrous attention magnet. After all, the world has already been gifted with the first Rolls-Royce drift car, a Silver Shadow manhandled by Boyzone's Shane Lynch.
