MOTO GUZZI Targa 750 (1991-1993) Specs, Performance & Photos

The Moto Guzzi Targa 750 was a motorcycle manufactured by Moto Guzzi for a short period from 1991 to 1993. Also, it was not a motorcycle manufactured from scratch, but it used pre-existing components mounted on other previous motorcycles.

It was not an extreme sports motorcycle based on the 750cc engine owned by the Strada 750 and SP 750 models. Its bodywork was based on the previous V65 Lario and packed a smaller half-fairing similar to the one mounted on the Le Mans 1000 series.

In 1991, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer launched the Moto Guzzi Targa 750, a mix-and-match special of the traditional V-twin engine from the NTX 750 trial bike and a twin-shock chassis based on the 650 Lario.

Visually, the bike had standard features, such as a half fairing with a rectangular headlight, a small windscreen, a one-piece dual seat, side-mounted rear shocks, a dual exhaust system with a silencer on each side, and five-spoke alloy wheels.

In the performance department, the 1991 Moto Guzzi Targa 750 had installed a 744cc four-stroke air-cooled V-twin engine underneath its fuel tank, delivering 48 hp with a peak force at 6,600 rpm and 59 Nm (44 lb-ft) torque at 5,600 rpm.

As for braking, the bike's wheels were fitted with two 270 mm brake discs on the front and a 235 mm brake disc on the rear, offering optimum stopping power.
