If you are into motorcycles you should turn your attention to Milan, Italy this week, as it is there where a whole lot of new two-wheeled wonders are being presented to the world as part of the 2023 EICMA show. Among these wonders, a lot of new Moto Guzzi machines.
The Italians have presented in the days that precede the official opening of the show several bikes, including the brand-new Stelvio we've already discussed. This time, however, we'll focus on the revised V85 range, because there are quite a few things to talk about.

That's right, I said range, because soon enough the V85 will no longer be limited to a single model, but grow to a total of three. It means that for the new model year there are three of them to discuss, namely the V85 Strada, V85 TT, and V85 TT Travel. As usual, we'll start with the commonalities shared between the three.

As it happens in the case of Moto Guzzi that means the most important bits of the motorcycles. All three share the same frame and engine, while the bits that set them apart are what add special capabilities to each of them.

The new V85s, tracing their roots back to the original model of 2019, are built around a high-strength tubular steel frame. Inside it there are the motorcycles' engines, in this case all three of them air-cooled, 90° transverse V-twin powerplants.

The engines for all three bikes are 853cc in displacement and develop the same amount of power: 80 hp of 83 Nm of torque. That's an improvement of four horsepower over what came before. There are three riding modes available, namely Road, Sport, and Rain.

The bikes have also been restyled, and now bring to the table things like new a LED headlight with the DRL system creating a sort of illuminated Moto Guzzi eagle. The fuel tanks have been redrawn as well, and there's a new shape for the windscreen as well.

This element can be manually adjusted to five different positions and to a height of up to 70 mm. This new feature allows for a reduction in air pressure experienced during the ride by 37 percent compared to what came before.

Also new on the 2024 V85 range are the instrument panel, 5-inch TFT display, and the handlebar switches.

Taken separately each of the three bikes has something specific to offer. The Strada, for instance, oriented toward urban travels, throws into the mix aluminum alloy spoked wheels dressed in road tires. These are light enough to shed 4 kg (8.8 pounds) off the bike's waist compared to the TT variant. The Strada will be offered in two color choices, Nero Isola and Grigio Brera.

Next on the list is the V85 TT, destined for mixed riding. This version is equipped with more off-road features, including a rear mono-shock which can be adjusted by means of a handwheel, an exclusive Off-Road mode to top the three that can be found on the other two motorcycles, and an overall look that brings to mind the enduros of the 1980s.

The TT is equipped with 17- and 19-inch wheels and has a red-painted frame to make it stand out. There are two color schemes for it: two-tone Rosso Fuji and Grigio Tambora.

Last but not least on our list is the TT Travel, the adventure-oriented Moto Guzzi. It too comes with the handwheel-adjustable rear mono-shock and the Off-Road mode.

The fuel tank on this one is however an impressive 23 liters (6 gallons), making it ideal for long trips in the wild. That's a large enough quantity of fuel to suffice for roughly 400 km (249 miles) of riding.

To handle the longer distances and different requirements, the TT Travel is equipped with a new windshield, and new side deflectors. Moto Guzzi is throwing into the mix, as accessories, two new cases, one with room for 37 liters (10 gallons) and the other for 27 liters (7 gallons).

The bike maker will offer the V85 TT Travel in a single color choice, Bronzo Deserto.

All three bikes will be later this week on the floor of the EICMA show in Milan, together with other motorcycles made by the Piaggio group brands, the Aprilia RS 457 and the brand-new Moto Guzzi Stelvio.

As it did with all of its other premieres, Piaggio did not spill the beans on the pricing for the new V85 range. We also have no details on exactly when the three bikes will become available, and what are the markets they will be offered in – it's not hard to imagine though they'll be present in all the places Moto Guzzi is currently doing business.

For reference, the current version of the V85 TT is going for $12,190. For the moment, that is the only model offered in the range, making the ones shown in Italy something to look forward to.
