MOTO GUZZI Norge 850 (2007-2008) Specs, Performance & Photos

The Moto Guzzi Norge was a touring motorcycle presented at the 2005 EICMA Show and released into production in 2006 in a 1,200cc version. The following year, the maker introduced the Moto Guzzi Norge 850, a slightly different version with an 850cc engine.

In 2007, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer launched the Moto Guzzi Norge 850, a smaller-displacement version of the Norge 1200 model. It delivered the same elegance and design, with excellent ergonomics, comfort, and a shorter wheelbase, making it competitive in city traffic.

In the visual department, the Norge 850 model packed a fairing with most of the engine in plain sight, a medium-sized windscreen, a one-piece dual seat with pillion grab handles, a two-into-pone exhaust system with a silencer mounted on the left side, and three-spoke lightweight aluminum wheels.

The bike was built around a double-cradle high tensile tubular steel frame with a 45 mm preload-adjustable telescopic fork on the front, offering 120 mm of travel, and a single-sided swingarm with an adjustable shock absorber on the rear, delivering 140 mm of travel.

In the braking department, the bike's wheels were equipped with two 320 mm discs managed by four-piston calipers on the front and a 280 mm disc engaged by a dual-piston caliper on the rear wheel.

In the performance department, the 2007 Moto Guzzi Norge 850 took its power from an 877cc four-stroke air-cooled V-twin engine, delivering 72 hp at 7,600 rpm and 66 Nm (49 lb-ft) torque at 7,000 rpm.
