In 2012, the Italian motorcycle maker introduced the Moto Guzzi Norge 1200 GT 8V, a touring motorcycle fitted with the latest version of the 8V V-twin engine and numerous new components, enhancing its comfort, performance, and handling.

Some of the new components included a suspension system for more comfort and corner stability, an electrically adjustable windscreen, a new engine with more power and torque, a fairing with improved wind protection and noise reduction, an easy-to-read instrument panel, an anti-slip seat, a factory-fitted center stand, and footpegs with vibration damping.

In the visual department, the bike had standard features, such as a full fairing with a medium-sized windscreen, a one-piece dual seat with passenger grab rails, side-mounted panniers, a two-into-one exhaust system with a muffler on the left side, and lightweight three-spoke aluminum wheels.

The motorcycle was manufactured around a high tensile steel frame with a 45 mm preload-adjustable telescopic fork on the front, providing 120 mm of travel, and a single-sided swingarm with an adjustable shock absorber on the rear, acting as the bike's suspension system.

Power-wise, the 2012 Moto Guzzi Norge 1200 GT 8V had its soul brought to life by a 1,151cc four-stroke V-twin air-cooled engine that delivered an output power of 102 hp at 7,000 rpm and 104 Nm (77 lb-ft) torque at 5,500 rpm.
