On November 14, 2006, at the Milan Motor Show, the Italian motorcycle manufacturer introduced the Moto Guzzi Griso 1200 8V, a naked motorcycle marketed starting September 2007.

The bike was fitted with a new engine, a slightly more comfortable seat for the passenger, more tapered side panels, a new Brembo braking system, and a new exhaust system connected to a double offset end cap silencer.

In 2008, the Italy-based motorcycle maker released the Moto Guzzi Griso 1200 8V, a naked road motorcycle in its second year of production, featuring the same visual, technical, and performance specifications as the previous model without any significant modifications.

In the visual department, the bike was similar to other Griso motorcycles in the series, offering standard features, such as a round headlight, a wide handlebar, a one-piece dual seat, a two-into-one exhaust system with a double exhaust muffler, and three-spoke lightweight aluminum wheels.

Its exhaust system was connected to a 1,151cc four-stroke air-cooled V-twin engine, providing a breathing system. The engine was managed by a fuel injection system, boasting 110 hp with a peak force at 7,500 rpm and 108 Nm (80 lb-ft) torque at 6,400 rpm.

As for suspension, the bike packed a 43 mm fully adjustable inverted fork on the front and a progressive single swingarm coupled to a fully adjustable shock absorber on the rear, providing excellent suspension performance and handling.
