The 2005 MY Buell XB9SX Lightning City X has been designed as a city brawler, and has been equipped with handlebar deflectors, a headlight grille, wide, supermotard-style handlebars and a Skyline seat for a better view of city traffic. In addition it has a new, easy-shifting transmission, a Goodyear Hibrex drive belt with Flexten Plus technology, a lighter and stiffer swingarm and a new air intake location.
In the engine department it comes equipped with an air-cooled, four-stroke, 984cc, 45-degree pushrod V-Twin powerplant mated to a five-speed manual transmission and can reach a maximum power output of 92 horsepower and 97 Nm of torque.
