Renault to Show Four Electric Concepts at Frankfurt

The French manufacturer Renault will attend the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show and, just like many automakers that will come at the show, it will display several new concepts vehicles. In a press statement released today, Renault announced it will showcase no less than four electric concepts that will give us a glimpse into how the company's Zero Emission product range is going to look like. Unfortunately, there are no technical specs at this point but as you can see in the adjacent photo, the design of the cars is somehow awkward. First of all, there's the tiny vehicle on the left side that can accommodate only one passenger, with almost no luggage space since it will most likely carry the batteries at the back. The second model seems to be a three-door vehicle which could be equipped with solar panels, especially used to provide electricity during summer and improve the batteries' lifetime. As far as we're concerned, there's enough room for four passengers but, once again, the luggage volume is still questionable. The last two models are larger but from the only teaser we have at this point only a few things can be spotted. The last pictured model would be probably addressed to families who are seeking roomier models with zero emissions. As we said, all four cars will be showcased at the Frankfurt Show so expect more details next week. autoevolution will be attending the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show, so stay tuned for some real up close and personal shots of these vehicles, as well as for first-hand details of the motorized contraptions.
