As we showed you earlier today, the 2016 Monterey Car Week is causing a high-octane frenzy over in California and, apparently, some supercar drivers can get (more than) a bit carried away. Let's take the guy who stopped an Enzo in the middle of the road to have supercar spotters shoot it, for example.
As you'll be able to see in the video below, the Prancing Horse, which is the world's only all-carbon Enzo, was parked over the double yellow line for a quick shoot.
And while some car spotters turned to their cameras, others had to take care of the incoming traffic, helping cars get around the Enzo. Eventually, size pressure coming from a coach and perhaps a truck determined the driver to take off.
Frankly, we had the same question as the spotter behind the video: "who the hell is this guy?"
We can't give you a definitive answer to that question, but here are a few clues that might prove helpful.
First of all, the car showed up for sale at an account-shattering $3.5 million back in June. We seem to be dealing with a one-off built by Carrozzeria Zanasi Maranello, a body specialist which has interesting ties with the Prancing Horse.
While the one-off was offered by St. Louis-based Exotic Motors Midwest, Danny Baker, the owner of the Exotic Motor Auto Group, has brought this Ferrari halo car to the Monterey hostilities, with his Instagram account talking about this.
As you can imagine, the spotters who witnessed the stunt also turned to their Instragram accounts and this post should speak for itself.
The shenanigan took place on the all-too-famous 17-Mile Drive and, if you're curious about the route, you can check it out here:
Here's to hoping photoshoot locations and populated roads don't get mixed again.

Seriously guys...you all made it a really cool day! Thank you!
