Supercars and hypercars are far from machines defined by their go-fast figures. For one thing, exclusivity is a key asset for the magnetic effect these vehicles have on us. But what happens when this limited-numbers aura is removed?
Well, the 2016 Monterey Car Week that's currently takin place should offer a pretty good answer to the question above. The Californian series of high-octane events sees velocity monsters being displayed in a... bulk fashion.

How else would you call eight Bugatti Veyrons sharing the same parking lot? Sure, Molsheim machines had their own parking area, but this still doesn't change the fact that we're not used to seeing this many of them getting together.

And while uber-limited rides such as the LaFerrari are still present in more than one unit (including one the three factory Matte Black LaFs), when we're talking about supercars such as McLarens slotted below the P1, these are attenting by the dozen.

The puece of footage at the bottom of the page allows us to get a pretty good idea of the Monterey hostilities. Coming from supercar aficionado and spotter The Stradman, the video gives us an 18-minute take on what we can call the early phase of the event - as the man explains, the video only covers the action taking place through Tuesday.

You don't need to be a fan of auctions to jump for joy when seeing the kind of engineering and design marvels going under the hammer here, so you should also be prepared for this type of ceremonies.

Curiosity may have killed the cat, but we're addressing humans here. So, in case you wanted to know what this spotted drives, you should know he uses an early Gallardo, one he's worked hard to obtain.

P.S.: One of the best parts of the Monterey adventure (no, it's not limited to seven days) is the sheer randomness of the horsepower display and you'll get a chance to notice this in the clip.
