Football Club Barcelona is not only one of Spain’s two clubs (please don’t throw rocks at us Real fans!). Thanks to some prime stars that have worn their colors, FCB t-shirts can be seen on fans in as far away places as Africa or China.
But one fan has taken things even further. One white example of the Ferrari 458 Italia has been spotted by Autogespot in Dubai, wearing not only the FC Barcelona logo, but a whole bunch of players down the side and some streamers coming out of an air vent at the front. The streamers also have been added at the back, and actually work with the white body of the supercar.
The interior is red, and the owner has even left an FC Barcelona scarf under the windscreen.
Is the Ferrari 458 Italia that famous in Spain, we can almost hear you asking. Well, to be honest, the mid-engined sportscar is popular everywhere on the planet. Officially unveiled three years ago at the Frankfurt Motor Show, it quickly managed to become one of the most sold cars in the Italian automaker’s lineup.
Just think of that gorgeous engine. The 4,499 cc V8 engine of the “Ferrari/Maserati” F136 engine family, produces an impressive 562 horsepower at 9,000 rpm and 398 lb-ft (540 Nm) with 80% torque available at 3,250 rpm. The engine features direct fuel injection, which, as you may well know, is a premiere for Ferrari mid-engine setups in its road cars.
The transmission department is also quite filled with surprises. You can’t get anything else on the 458 than the dual-clutch 7-speed GETRAG gearbox. There is no traditional manual option, making this the fourth road-car after the almighty Enzo, Challenge Stradale and 430 Scuderia not to be offered with Ferrari’s classic gated manual.
Hey, this car is one of the most popular sportscar currently available on the market, but did they had to mess it up that way?
