Jorge Lorenzo Launches New Book in Barcelona

Three years have passed and Jorge Lorenzo decided to launch yet another biography centered around his life in the MotoGP. During a media presentation held by journalist Ernest Riveras in Barcelona, the reigning MotoGP champion launched his new book “Jorge Lorenzo, El nuevo rey de MotoGP” (The new King of MotoGP).

I think there’s still a lot for my fans to know about me and this book has a lot of images within it that they will never have seen before,” said Lorenzo about his new book, that comprises over 400 pictures from the past 3 years he has spent in the premier motorcycle racing series, most of them having been taken by renowned photographer Mirco Lazzari.

We’ll see in the future if there are more things to recount, I think there will be, and we still have a long time in which we can achieve many more things,” he added, hinting that another book should be expected in a few years.

The launch date, April 13, coincides with the date when he scored his first ever win in the MotoGP series, at Estoril, back in 2008.

Most of the questions coming from the Spanish reporters were obviously focused on his relationship with rival Valentino Rossi, but Lorenzo insisted that he treated the 7-time world champion the same as he did with all riders in the MotoGP field.

Valentino has been a very important rival in my MotoGP career, a very tough one, but I respect all rivals in the same manner and as equals and I don’t idolize anyone,” insisted the Spaniard. “All the riders who line up on the starting grid are capable of beating you on any given day. I don’t give any greater or lesser importance to Valentino than I do to any other rider.
