At the same time, intraoperative angiography by minimally invasive transfemoral approach confirmed the return of the subclavian flow, noted the statement. It is believed that the Spanish rider will not leave the hospital just yet, but will remain under the doctors' supervision for an additional 48 hours, as he will continue treatment with analgesia and anti-inflammatories.
The final verdict as to whether he will be able to start the race at Estoril next month or not will be given by the doctors next week, when Pedrosa will return for further checks.
Prior to the Spanish Grand Prix at Jerez last weekend, the Spaniard had told the media that the 4-week break between the two MotoGP events – caused by the postponement of the Japanese GP – will give him enough time to recuperate off track.
