Despite saying that Citroen’s design language peaked in the 1960s, nevertheless, the French manufacturer has given us lots of excellent concepts over the years, most of which have been transformed into a production car, with the DS5, which we recently tested, blurring the lines between concept and production car more than any other, as it very closely resembles the C-Sport Lounce concept of 2005.
Now, the C_42 showcase does just that - it showcases some of Citroen’s more recent concepts and shows us just how forward-thinking the more rebel half of PSA really is. The concept cars, among which we need to mention the C-Métisse, Revolte, Survolt, Hypnos, as well as the GT one-off supercar are on display for all to see. Where is this all taking place? Why it’s on the Champs-Elysées, in Paris, of course, for everybody to admire the stunning concepts, and be proud to be French.

Citroen’s concepts are among the best in the world, and if you do get a chance to see them all in one place, do not pass it up, as you will never see anything similar ever again. Factor in the excellent location and atmosphere, and checking out the concepts could easily require an entire day, if not more - then again, maybe that’s just us.
