Citroen is an automaker that likes to do things its own way, and people don’t seem to understand what they are all about. Their car are extroverted and just about every detail is changed from they way the Germans usually do things.
The future of their DS brand holds many new cars, including a convertible DS3, most likely to arrive this summer, a crossover and even a production version of he large Numero 9 Concept shown in Beijing last month.
To help the process along, Citroen has created a dedicated styling division that will only make DS cars. Starting June 1st, the fresh organization will be led by DS line manager Thierrry Metrz, while the other cars in the C range will be the job of Alexandre Malval, who is responsible for the DS5 and C5.
“To support the move upmarket and international expansion of Citroen, particularly in China, it is important to make a clearer distinction in styling between the C range and the DS line, each in their respective fields,” explains Frederic Banzet, Managing Director of the Citroen brand.
