Brabus B50 S-Class is a White Knight in Sleeper Armor

There are probably a whole bunch of Mercedes-Benz S 500 (W222) owners out there who simply jumped at buying one without thinking that at some point in the nearby future they might actually want something that is just a tiny bit faster.

That is, of course, a minority of S 500 owners, while another one would be formed by those who simply want the Q-car look of a Mercedes-Benz S-Class luxo-barge and the performance of an S 63 AMG.

For either of the two types, the tuning specialists from Bottrop have developed the B50 tuning package, which is a plug-and-play system that messes with the engine's ECU to provide a much more sizable amount of horsepower and torque.

In layman's terms, let's just say that the stock twin-turbocharged 4.7-liter V8 in the Mercedes-Benz S 500 is good for 455 hp and 700 Nm (516 lb ft) of torque, or more than enough to keep up with an AMG sedan from yesteryear in a drag race but not quite enough to embarass a Porsche 911 (991).

The Brabus B50 tuning package ups that amount to 540 hp and a massive 820 Nm (605 lb ft) of torque without modifying the internals of the V8, bringing the model's acceleration numbers dangerously close to the ones from a stock Mercedes-Benz S 63 AMG.

Paired with an exterior bodykit that looks almost as inconspicuous as the one from the aforementioned AMG variant and painted white, you have got yourself a luxurious sleeper sedan that can get from naught 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.2 seconds, while the top speed is electronically-limited to 300 km/h (186 mph).
