For some people, owning a 525 hp (or 557 hp with the Performance Package) Mercedes-Benz ML 63 AMG becomes a bit of a downer right after taking possession of the car.
The reason for this might be either the fact that modern people get bored more easily, or the fact that there is no such thing as “too much power” when talking about an all-wheel drive Mercedes-Benz.

For those types of people there is always Brabus, who offers no less than three stages of tuning for the M157 under the ML 63 AMG's hood, with the most powerful one upgrading it to 700 hp.

Using two new turbochargers with a slightly larger compressor unit, larger downpipes, less-restrictive cats, a new Brabus intake with gold heat reflection and a new ECU, the engineers from Bottrop have managed to squeeze no less than 700 hp and 960 Nm (708 lb ft) of torque from the twin-turbocharged, 5.5-liter V8.

These new figures translate into a naught to 100 km/h (62 mph) time of just 4.4 seconds and an electronically-limited top speed of 300 km/h (186 mph) – not bad for a 2345 kg (5170 pounds) SUV.

Officially called the B63S-700 power kit, the modifications above wouldn't be complete without an all-new exterior and interior in the typical Brabus fashion.

This is why the ML 63 AMG by Brabus in the adjacent photo gallery comes with both the power kit and and an all-black color with red accents, while the interior seems to be made of lava.

We are talking about the Brabus Widestar bodykit, 23-inch wheels with 315/25 Z-rated tires and an all-new Alcon braking system, while the interior is a symphony of black leather with red piping and fire-red Alcantara.

Overall, it is a bit too 1980s for our tastes, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder and the performance numbers don't sound half bad either way.
