The Ford Focus EV, which we praised for not being EV-like in any way aesthetically, looking even better than the regular conventionally-powered variant, to our eyes has now been on sale for only two months and it needs to get off to a good start which it then needs to maintain.
So far, Ford has managed to sell 89 examples of the car, since deliveries began, on June 10th. This means that they have already overtaken Mitsubishi and their ‘I’ which has sold 85 examples in May for most EVs sold in one month. However, Ford still need to sell an additional 151 examples to fully pass the Japanese manufacturer for total yearly sales.

Apparently, 763 cars have already been built since the start of the year, and once the stock is depleted, the manufacturing rate will more than match demand, as they will be able to produce them at a rate of at least 200 per week.
