You don't have to be a car enthusiast to be triggered by the soundtrack of an internal combustion engine coming to life. There's something extremely satisfactory in the aural part of a motor that wakes up and that something will push many people's buttons. Alas, this decibel treat wasn't a part of the 2017 Ford GT's recent Dutch introduction.
The supercar, which is almost out of the oven, has made its debut in the Netherlands over the weekend, but the V6 EcoBoost occupying the middle section of the machine didn't start. Despite repeated attempts to put the Blue Oval machine's starter motor to use, the engine decided to remain silent throughout the event.

As car spotter Automotive Mike, who provided the video, explains, the Ford mechanic on site told him the twin-turbo mill wouldn't come to life due to a spark plug issue.

This seems at least a bit strange if we take into account that the GT had arrived at a Dutch Ford dealership a few days before the said event (here are some photos we showed you last week), with the latter having taken place on Sunday.

Then again, such unfortunate episodes are not uncommon when it comes to pre-production prototypes like the one we have here. In fact, we've witnessed multiple car launches that showed similar issues, so there's no reason to let this happening blow out of proportion.

With the Frozen White 2017 Ford GT having completed its Dutch mission anyway, the supercar should now be on its way to the next location where it will educate the audience in terms of Blue Oval supercar matters.

P.S.: If you're looking for a recent 2017 Ford GT presentation where things went smoothly, we;ve got just the thing fo you. We're talking abouy the '66 Heritage Edition's Pebble Beach appearance, which will definitely do the trick.
