McLaren will be present for the third time at the Chantilly Arts & Elegance Richard Mille event for the third time. The brand from Woking will showcase the first 570 GT in European specification that has been customized by McLaren Special Operations, its bespoke division.
The first McLaren 570 GT modified by MSO Concept will be displayed in Pacific Blue, the color you can observe in the photo above. Its interior has carbon fiber components that have a gloss lacquer on top of the regular satin finish. The same treatment is applied to the car’s sills.
On the outside, the McLaren 570 GT customized by McLaren Special Operations comes with a gloss black finish to certain exterior details. For example, the side skirts, front end elements, door inserts, and rear end details are finished in Piano Black.
The custom work does not complete here, as the first European example of the 570 GT that has reached the bespoke department of the British automaker has a titanium exhaust system, which is 30% lighter than the stock element.
It has heat shields finished with a golden titanium nitride tint, which changes color from blue to purple, according to the heat and cooling cycles every exhaust goes through.
Viewers can observe the different hues through the cooling grids. Unfortunately, McLaren has not provided photographs of this element in its various states.
McLaren Special Operation’ creation will be exhibited on September 4, 2016, alongside an example of haute couture from Jean-Paul Gaultier. The event takes place at Domaine Chantilly in France.
The idea behind this exhibition is to bring back the elegance of the 1920’s, when automakers and fashion creators joined forces to exhibit the future of couture and motor cars.
That is why McLaren teamed up with Jean-Paul Gaultier, which will be its partner in this year’s Concept-Cars parade at the prestigious event of automotive and fashion extravagance.
