After you drive the Kahn Range Rover Harris Tweed Edition it becomes clear that the tuning company understood the spirit of the Range Rover and it has built on that, making the car better.

The exterior changes are well integrated, the look as if they could’ve been there when the car exited the factory’s gates. The Range Rover is probably the last of the 3-ton class monsters and so the aggressive yet stylish body kit suits it perfectly. By the way, this is also better than the extra body kit offered by Range Rover thanks to the fact that ticking that option when you buy the car doesn't allow you to also ask for an active rear differential (don't ask us why).

Aiming to improve the interior of a Range Rover is like taking on the challenge to beat Lewis Hamilton at kart racing, but Kahn has managed to pull this out. While the new leather and the Harris Tweed are not superior to what Land Rover has to offer in terms of feeling, or fit & finish, they do bring a massive exclusivity bonus that highlights the character of the RR.

However, you have to know the limits when having your car customized, as certain elements simply ask too much in return for what they have to offer.

For example, we’re totally fine with slightly decreasing the Range Rover TDV8’s off-road angles by installing the RS body kit, but we wouldn’t settle for anything greater than 20-inch in terms of wheels if we wanted to also be able to take the car off the road, as it was meant to be used. Kahn also offers smaller rims, so don’t make the ladder chassis of the Range Rover useless by slapping 22-inch rollers on the car, unless you’ll only use it for status purposes.

Don’t get us wrong. going to far is not a bad attitude, you just have to know when to use it. Want an example again? Don’t settle for the rear silencers, ask for a full exhaust, so that monstrous 4.4-liter diesel V8 van really express its feelings.

Kahn has managed to tweak the Range Rover as a connoisseur, so prove that you are one yourself: pick the right options when you have yours customized and you’re going to receive a mobile castle for the 21st century.
