The Geneva Motor Show has yet to reveal all of its secrets. While the automotive press will learn all there is to learn in the coming two days, members of the public will have to wait until March 7th to see some of the most exciting cars of the century.
Among them will be the new Ferrari Enzo, a one-off Lamborghini V12 that we just showed you and this, the now famous McLaren P1. This car has traveled the show circuit as a concept last year, but this is the full production version of the car, a benchmark in terms of supercar technology.
Only 375 P1s will ever be built, costing at least £866,000. This carbon fiber car is as slippery as a fish and as powerful as a rocket. Thanks to a hybrid 3.8-liter V8 producing 916 PS, it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h well under 3 seconds. That might not sound impressive, but it takes the McLaren just 17 seconds to get to 300 km/h.
Supercar connoisseur Shmee150 managed to scoop this video of the P1 live at the Geneva Motor Show before anybody else was able to film the car. Even though we're familiar with the shape, the P1 still looks like a rocket. Carbon fiber is visible, contrasting with bright yellow paintwork. The shape of the McLaren logo is shaped into the headlights.
