Spain, New York, the Nurburgring and Scandinavia – the new McLaren hypercar has bee spotted all over the world, but now it's back where it belongs, in Britain.
The camouflaged prototype was recently spotted back in Britain by our friend Shmee150. But you're not going to believe what happened next. He and his friend were filming a Ferrari 458 Spider and decided it was the perfect car to chase the McLaren in.
"I was out for a ride in the Ferrari 458 Spider from ecurie25 when completely out of the blue a McLaren P1 test car drove past! Instantly recognisable for me, but too quick for my camera to be out I thought that was it so we returned to filming the Ferrari. Half an hour later we went around a roundabout and there it was, sitting there!" Tim aka Shmee150 says.
The McLaren P1 is going to be revealed in production form at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show. The automaker and technology company has already announced that it will be powered by a hybrid system combining a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with an electric hybrid system delivering 916 PS an 9000 Nm (664 lb-ft) in total.
