Wraptivo Honda CR-Z Type-F Coming to SEMA 2010

Finally! a tuner that decided to offer a power premium for the Honda CR-Z, preparing a true sporty hybrid for us. The project we are talking about here is being created by Meguiar, a company that doesn’t usually focus on the engine, but on the vinyl wrapping of the vehicle.

But we’ll talk about that later, as we’re anxious to show you the tech mods that the Japanese hybrid will get.

The vehicle’s 1.5 liter petrol unit will get a supercharger system, an exhaust system and an ECU remap, while the suspension will also be upgraded. The car will also receive other components that will be supplied by Honda Accessories, Tein, HKS, BF Goodrich, Volk Racing, Hondata, and others.

As for the vehicle’s exterior, it will be fitted with aerodynamic elements from Honda Accessories Aero and other suppliers. The interior will also be upgraded, receiving Recaro seats, a sport gear shifter and Alcantara-finished panels.

Now, about that special vinyl. Meguiar is a company that allows customers to design their own vehicle vinyls and installs them on their cars, with the process including special textures and graphics. Dubbed Wraptivo, the feature was introduced at last year’s SEMA.

The vehicle will be wrapped with Wraptivo Matte Black and Carbon Black Film and will look just like the one you see in the adjacent rendering, which was created by artist Jon Sibal.

Dubbed Wraptivo Honda CR-Z Type-F, the project will be displayed at this year’s SEMA and will subsequently be entered in Source Interlink’s Super Lap Battle trial event.
