Wireless Android Auto adapters have become incredibly popular lately, and as a former wired user, I can totally understand why.
Using Android Auto with a cable is a major challenge, not only from a convenience perspective but also because a cord significantly increases the likelihood of problems hitting the app. Cables are often the culprit of Android Auto connection glitches, so with a wireless adapter, you should get a more stable and reliable experience.

AAWireless is the device that made everything happen, pioneering a product category that's now rapidly expanding with the addition of new devices at various price points. Motorola joined the battle with a device backed by Google, while generic Chinese brands copied the idea to create adapters available for much cheaper.

AAWireless continues to be one of the best choices in the market, so it's no surprise that many buyers ended up confused when they couldn't find the device on Amazon. AAWireless is still available in Europe but was removed from the US store, making some Android Auto users believe the company abandoned the American market.

It isn't the case, as AAWireless will still be available in the United States. It was pulled from Amazon US because of a copyright complaint. Founder Emil Borconi-Szedressy says the fake copyright complaint is already being investigated by Amazon, but despite providing proof, no infringement has taken place. The online store needs more time to figure out what happened.

AAWireless was still available on eBay but was eventually sold out, so now the parent company is looking into ways to sell the device directly in the United States through the official website, therefore reducing the reliance on Amazon in the country.

Meanwhile, Emil Borconi-Szedressy says he's also planning an expansion to Canada, with the device expected to land in the country in the coming months. The import rules and taxes require additional work due to the lack of a physical presence in the country, but AAWireless will still launch in Canada in the near future.

If you want to get AAWireless in the United States, the only option is to wait. The device should become available on Amazon in the coming days, though it's unclear how long it'll take for Amazon to verify the copyright infringement claim and the evidence provided by AAWireless. The device disappeared from the website after Black Friday, when it received a major discount, hitting the lowest price since launch.

If you don't want to wait and would rather buy a wireless Android Auto adapter right here and now, Motorola's MA1 remains available in the United States on Amazon. It still carries a 22% discount, so you can get it for $69.99 instead of the regular $89.99 price tag.
