Back in November 2014, we had the pleasure of announcing that Lamborghini was returning with its famous Winter Accademia program in 2015. This time around, the Italians would bring their brand new and highly anticipated V10 supercar, the Huracan, to locations around the world, including Aspen, Colorado; Nagano, Japan; and Livigno, Italy.
We have the first piece of footage shot in Japan, where a white Huracan got to play games in the snow with all its electronic nannies turned off, but still in total safety.

The special driving event was organized in the Nagano prefecture, where the frozen Megamiko lake provided the perfect conditions. With 610 horsepower going to all four wheels, the Huracan slipped and slid in a circle at speeds of around 20 km/h.

The people who wanted to participate and learn how to push this V10 beast to its limit had to fork over the sum of 400,000 Japanese yen ($3,400), not including accommodation costs and food. What you're seeing in the video is only the beginning of the winter academy, as under the tutelage of instructor Peter Mueller, 30 or so people also got to drive on a track that had been specially carved though the snow.

The Lamborghini Winter Academia includes two types of courses. The Intensivo program lasts only one day and focuses on building up your skill level while offering as much track time as possible. Avenzato lasts two days and has been designed for a hardcore enthusiasts who wants to fine-tune his skills.

The first day brings the same dynamic driving techniques and performance handling as the Intensivo program, while the second one adds one-on-one coaching to develop your true potential. Instructors will also share video and telemetry data to give precise insight as to when and how you need to brake or accelerate.
