Normally, if you drive a manual transmission and tow something heavy, like a caravan or a boat, you have to compensate for the added weight when you brake or accelerate.
If you have a classic automatic gearbox, you still need to put it on manual and shift gears later to compensate and even downshift when braking in order to create some engine brake.
With the Tow Howl Mode on the 2014 Toyota Tundra, you don’t have to do that anymore. When activated, the system will extend the use of the lower gear ranges when accelerating or decelerating, offers better engine response and adds engine braking to help slower the vehicle.
